This class is for beginning guitar students up to eight students in a class. We focus on learning to tune the guitar, reading music, melody playing, chords and strumming, basic skills and techniques, and ensemble playing. Students use a songbook plus a music workbook. Students progress at their own pace with individual help from the teacher, and play together as a team at class as well. Parent Performance Days are scheduled throughout the year and the teacher will assess the student's progress and recommend private lessons at the appropriate time. Students bring their guitar to class (a student size acoustic or electric is fine).
